Innovation drives development: GreenMore wins the "Photovoltaic Science and Technology Award"

Recently, the list of winners of the highly anticipated "Photovoltaic Science and Technology Award" was officially announced by the Photovoltaic Industry Association. GreenMore stood out with its "Research and Industrialization of Grid-Type Energy Storage Bidirectional Converters" project and was honored to be on the list. The project successfully developed and industrialized a grid-type energy storage bidirectional converter. This technological breakthrough has undoubtedly injected new vitality into the intelligent and efficient operation of photovoltaic energy storage systems. As the core equipment in the energy storage system, the grid-type energy storage bidirectional converter can realize the bidirectional flow and efficient conversion of electric energy, providing a solid guarantee for the stable operation of photovoltaic power stations and the flexible dispatching of power grids.

  • Power synchronization strategy: The grid-type energy storage bidirectional converter adopts a power synchronization strategy similar to that of the synchronous generator, which can achieve synchronization without the aid of a phase-locked loop, greatly improving the stability and response speed of the system.
  • Grid regulation and control: Through the voltage-reactive power droop curve and frequency-active power droop curve, this technology can achieve precise regulation and control of grid voltage and frequency to ensure stable operation of the grid.
  • Virtual inertia and damping: Grid-connected converters can provide virtual inertia and damping for the power system with the help of energy storage devices, effectively suppressing the rapid drop and oscillation of the grid frequency and enhancing the stability of the power system.
  • Fast power regulation response: This technology has fast power regulation response capability, which can realize fast regulation of active and reactive power, as well as virtual inertia support, active primary frequency regulation, voltage regulation and other functions, and supports secondary frequency regulation.
  • Seamless switching and parallel characteristics: The grid-connected energy storage bidirectional converter also has the characteristics of seamless switching between on-grid and off-grid, and multi-machine parallel connection, which can achieve uninterrupted power supply to critical loads and support flexible access and safe and stable control between microgrids and large power grids.

Typical project case: Solar-storage-diesel microgrid system in Chilean mining area
