GreenMore Successfully Delivers 500kW/1205kWh Solar-Storage-Diesel Microgrid Project in Africa

GreenMore is proud to announce the successful installation, commissioning, and operation of its 500kW/1205kWh solar-storage-diesel microgrid project in Africa. Located in a newly built industrial park, the project is a fully off-grid power system that now provides stable electricity for the park’s production needs. This milestone marks another leap forward in GreenMore’s ability to deliver customized microgrid solutions under complex international conditions.

A Smart Energy “Heartbeat” for Off-Grid Regions

The industrial park faced multiple challenges: no access to the public grid, highly fluctuating loads, a large share of inductive equipment, and uncertain future demand growth. Leveraging extensive overseas project experience, GreenMore designed a highly reliable, scalable solar-storage-diesel microgrid solution tailored to the site’s unique requirements.

The first phase centers on a 500kW solar-storage integrated unit, which not only meets current demand but also includes expansion interfaces for seamless future upgrades. This forward-looking design ensures the system can grow in step with the park’s phased development, balancing cost efficiency with long-term energy security.

Technology-Driven: Building a High-Efficiency, Coordinated Energy System

Staying true to its philosophy of “technology leadership and system reliability”, GreenMore implemented an advanced DC-coupled architecture to maximize efficiency and responsiveness. Key system components include:

• 720kWp Solar PV System: Divided into 10 arrays connected to dedicated DC/DC modules of the GreenMore integrated unit, harnessing abundant local solar resources and maximizing clean energy utilization.
• 1205kWh Energy Storage System: Comprising five 241kWh GreenMore-developed DC battery cabinets, the system delivers high cycle life and strong charge/discharge performance, effectively smoothing load fluctuations and stabilizing voltage and frequency.
• 600kW Diesel Generator: Serving as a backup during extreme weather or peak demand, seamlessly dispatched by GreenMore’s intelligent EMS. The system ensures uninterrupted supply while significantly reducing fuel consumption and carbon emissions.

Through the GreenMore Energy Management System (EMS), solar, storage, and diesel generation are deeply integrated, forming a resilient “generation–storage–backup” smart energy network that delivers 24/7 reliable, efficient, and low-carbon power to the industrial park.
