  • ENEX 2025 exhibition concluded successfully!
    April 02, 2025

A Anna GreenMore Marketing Department · Company News NANJING, China — April 2, 2025 — GreenMore took part in ENEX 2025 in Kielce, Poland, where it presented its residential inverters and home energy storage batteries to installers, distributors and project visitors. The show is one of Poland's main gatherings for the solar and energy sectors. Market background Poland surpassed 20 GW of cumulative installed solar capacity by the end of 2024, according to the Instytut Energetyki Odnawialnej (IEO), with around 3.7 GW added during the year. Industry reporting at the time of the exhibition pointed to continued growth in 2025, driven by residential prosumer systems and increasingly by storage. See pv magazine for ongoing market coverage. Products on show GreenMore's booth featured two residential inverters — a 5 kW single-phase model and a 10 kW three-phase model. Both use a screwless front cover designed to simplify access for installation and maintenance, and are specified with an IP66 rating, AFCI arc-fault protection and PID repair function, along with support for high-current PV modules. Alongside the inverters, the company presented its home battery lineup: the GM-DY low-voltage series and the GM-GY high-voltage series. The GM-GY batteries use LiFePO4 cells with a battery management system covering overcharge, over-discharge, over-current, over-temperature and short-circuit protection, and are built around a modular stack — up to 8 modules per system, with up to 4 systems parallel-capable, according to the model configuration. GreenMore participates in international exhibitions Visitor interest and follow-up Conversations at the booth centered on matching inverters and batteries to local installations, certification requirements for the Polish market, and lead times for distribution partners. GreenMore said it is following up on the inquiries received and is evaluating local distribution arrangements. "The questions at ENEX were practical — which battery works with which inverter, what the paperwork looks like, how service is handled," said a GreenMore representative. "That tells us the market is moving from early adopters to mainstream installers, and our job is to make configuration and support straightforward for them." About GreenMore GreenMore is a solar energy company headquartered in Nanjing, China, focused on building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV), including its core solar roofing tiles, along with solar power and energy storage systems. The company works with distributors, installers and project partners overseas. Its home battery range can be viewed on the home energy storage category page, its inverters on the solar inverter category page, and inquiries can be sent through the contact page.

  • Innovation drives development: GreenMore wins the "Photovoltaic Science and Technology Award"
    February 03, 2025

A Anna GreenMore Marketing Department · Company News NANJING, China — February 3, 2025 — GreenMore has received a Photovoltaic Science and Technology Award for its project "Research and Industrialization of Grid-Forming Energy Storage Bidirectional Converters." The award was announced at a new energy industry event held in Jiangsu, China, and recognizes the development and commercial application of the converter technology. The awarded project The project centers on a grid-forming bidirectional converter — the power conversion system (PCS) that sits between a battery system and the grid. Unlike conventional grid-following converters, a grid-forming unit can establish voltage and frequency reference itself, which allows storage systems to support weak grids, operate in microgrids and keep supply stable where grid strength is limited. Key technical features Synchronization without a phase-locked loop — the converter uses a power synchronization strategy similar to a synchronous generator, allowing it to connect and remain stable under weak-grid conditions. Voltage and frequency regulation — voltage-reactive power and frequency-active power droop curves let the converter respond to grid voltage and frequency changes. Virtual inertia and damping — with the battery, the converter can provide virtual inertia that slows rapid frequency changes and helps damp oscillation. Fast active and reactive power response — supports primary frequency regulation, voltage regulation and secondary frequency regulation functions where deployed. Seamless on/off-grid switching and parallel operation — critical loads can be supplied without interruption, and multiple units can operate in parallel in microgrid applications. Field application: mining microgrid in Chile The converter technology has been applied in a solar-storage-diesel microgrid at a mining site in Chile, configured at 1.3 MW of photovoltaic capacity and 9.1 MWh of energy storage. The system was designed to improve supply reliability for mining operations, increase the share of PV used on site rather than curtailed, and reduce diesel consumption and associated emissions. China Jiangsu New Energy Industry Conference "This project started from a practical problem: remote sites and weak grids need equipment that can set the reference, not just follow it," said a GreenMore representative. "The recognition is useful mainly because it confirms the direction — grid-forming capability is becoming a standard requirement in storage tenders, and our product planning reflects that." About GreenMore GreenMore is a solar energy company headquartered in Nanjing, China, focused on building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV), including its core solar roofing tiles, along with solar power and energy storage systems. More on the converter technology is available in the overview of the power conversion system (PCS), and project and cooperation inquiries can be sent through the contact page.

  • GreenMore helps S Company solve the fishery energy problem
    August 20, 2024

A Anna GreenMore Marketing Department · Company News NANJING, China — August 20, 2024 — GreenMore has supplied and commissioned six commercial energy storage systems for a fishery company in Madagascar, where an unreliable grid had repeatedly disrupted cold storage and fish processing. Each unit is rated at 125 kW of power and 215 kWh of capacity, giving the site a combined 1.29 MWh of backup and load-shifting capacity. The operating problem Fisheries depend on uninterrupted cold storage: even short outages let temperatures rise, which affects product quality and can lead to rejected loads. The customer also runs processing workshops whose schedules are difficult to recover once interrupted. "Outages were a recurring operational problem for us," said a representative of the fishery. "Cold-storage temperature was hard to hold, the processing line lost time, and each event took manpower to manage. It affected both product quality and our customers' confidence." The solution The six integrated machines combine batteries, power conversion and controls in outdoor-rated enclosures. When the grid fails, the systems switch to backup power to keep cold storage and processing running; they are also scheduled to charge during lower-price periods and discharge during higher-price periods to reduce energy costs. Energy storage integrated cabinet appearance, battery cell module and internal structure "Since the systems came online, cold-storage temperature has held steadily and processing has run more continuously," the customer representative said. "Charging on lower-price periods and discharging on higher ones has also reduced our electricity expenses." Project scope Equipment: six integrated C&I storage systems, 125 kW / 215 kWh each. Backup loads: cold storage and fish processing workshops. Operating modes: automatic backup on grid failure plus scheduled charge and discharge around tariff periods. Delivery support: needs assessment, system configuration, commissioning and operator training. • GreenMore successfully developed a network-based PCS
    July 24, 2024

A Anna GreenMore Marketing Department · Company News NANJING, China — July 24, 2024 — GreenMore has completed development of a new grid-connected power conversion system (PCS) for stationary energy storage. The converter is designed for demanding site conditions, including high-altitude and cold-climate projects, and adds dual-control-power backup and a wider DC operating range to the company's storage equipment lineup. The PCS is the bidirectional converter that charges batteries from the grid and discharges stored energy back as AC. The new unit is built around a digital signal processor (DSP) for power control and uses high-power-density modules, with a stated maximum efficiency of 97.6%. The wide DC input voltage window allows it to work across different battery configurations, subject to compatibility confirmation per project. Key design points of the new PCS include: Environmental protection. Specialized protection and temperature-control measures for operation in high-altitude and cold regions. Dual control-power backup. AC and DC auxiliary supply with automatic switchover to keep the control system energized if one source is lost. Grid and generator compatibility. Responds to grid dispatch instructions and supports a generator input, with on-grid/off-grid transfer where configured. Unbalanced and impact loads. Designed to maintain stable operation under three-phase load imbalance and sudden load steps. Operating modes — grid-connected, off-grid and switching behavior — can be set from the local control panel or through the connected management platform, depending on the installation. "This grid-connected PCS is a meaningful step in our storage technology development," said David, GreenMore's head of research and development. "It was driven by the conditions our partners actually meet on site — altitude, cold and unstable supply — rather than by a bench specification. We will continue to improve the converter and the systems built around it." The new PCS is being offered within GreenMore's commercial cabinet and container storage systems. For background on how the converter fits into a storage system, see the explainer article on what a power conversion system is.
